​​Debre Bisrat St. Gabriel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church, in Las Vegas is an  incorporated non profit religious organization in the state of Nevada established on February 13, 2015. The church presumed its first sacramental service on February 26, 2015, at a small rental place. Dedicated faithful founding members of the church, clergies and faithful contributors play a vital role for the growth of the church.   By the grace of God, Debre Bisrat St. Gabriel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo church was able to purchase a property located at 8245 Lindell Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89139 on 12/8/2017. On July 25, 2019, a foundation stone was laid by His Eminence Abune Yoseph archbishop of Sidama Diocese and founding father of the church, Abune Theophilus Dr. archbishop of Northern California Nevada and Arizona Diocese, and His Eminence Abune Barnabas archbishop of Southern California and Alaska Diocese to construct a new church. Within three years the cathedral building construction was completed by the grace of God and grand opening took place on July 26, 2023. The cathedral consecration was presided over by His eminence Abune Yoseph Archbishop of Sidama Diocese and founding father of the church; His Eminence Abune Barnabas Archbishop of Southern California and Alaska Diocese; His eminence Abune Samuel, Archbishop of Ohio and Surrounding Areas Diocese of; His eminence Abune Jacob, Archbishop of Georgia and Surrounding Areas Diocese of; His eminence Abune Nathaniel, Archbishop of Colorado and Surrounding Areas Diocese of; and His eminence Abune Theophilus Dr., Archbishop of Northern California, Nevada, and Arizona Diocese.
